- Outer Beaches Realty was purchased by Alex and Patty Risser in 1986. When they purchased the business, there were only 106 rental cottages in the rental program. Today, there are almost 550 cottages in the program.
- Outer Beaches Realty has a partnership with REAL Kiteboarding, which is a company on Hatteras Island that teaches kiteboarding seminars. They refer several of their clients to Outer Beaches Realty each year in search of their vacation rentals.
