Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. on your check-out day. No Exceptions! Please understand that it is a challenge to prepare all our cottages between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for the next guests, so 10:00 a.m. is a firm check-out time. Your assistance in completing the check-out procedures on the back of your Check-In packet and leaving the cottage by 10:00 a.m. is greatly appreciated. Additional rent in the amount of $50 per hour may apply. You will be given instructions upon check-in of what we ask of you when you leave your cottage, or you can review our check-out procedures on this page.
If you check-out before our office opens in the morning, simply drop your keys and check-in envelope in the box, place rental linens and towels back in the nylon bag and leave it in the foyer of the office.
Our rental weeks begin on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Due to the limited amount of time provided for housekeeping to ready your cottage for the next occupancy at 4-6pm, we ask your cooperation to see that your cottage is ready for our housekeeping staff at 10am. Please complete the following, or if you prefer to check with the housekeeping department (prior to the day of check-out) for a price to complete it for you.
Kitchen
- Remove food from refrigerator and wipe clean. Unused (not leftover) food may be left for the cleaning crew. Paper products and spices may be left for the next guests.
- Wash and put away all dishes, pots and pans.
- Empty trash cans.
Living Areas
Sleeping Quarters
- Make beds (except for cottages with linen service).
- Fold blankets and return to closets.
- Empty trash cans.
Bathrooms
- Remove soaps and shampoos(leave toilet paper).
- Empty trash cans.
Outside / General
- Remove trash form porches/decks and take full cans to the street.
- Secure windows and doors.
- Check-Out is 10am.
Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. You will not be checked out until the keys are at the office. Please be sure everyone is out of the cottage prior to returning keys. Please return any rental items with your keys.
