A Unique Opportunity to Have Tea with the Queen! (Manteo, N.C.) – This summer, visitors and locals alike will have the opportunity to participate in an audience with Queen Elizabeth I and her court as portrayed by The Lost Colony cast members, and surrounded by the authentic beauty of the Elizabethan Gardens located in the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site on Roanoke Island.Tea will be served Thursday June 15, Thursday July 13, and Thursday August 10 at 3:00 pm. The Town of Manteo's Special Events Committee invites you to the Manteo Farmers' Market. The farmers' market sells homegrown, home baked and homemade goods. The market is held every Saturday morning, rain or shine, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. beginning June 10, 2006 and continues through September 30, 2006. Location of the market is on the Manteo waterfront at the George Washington Creef Memorial Park, adjacent to the North Carolina Maritime Museum.

June 3-9, 2006 at REAL Kiteboarding, Waves, Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The Triple-S Invitational is an annual freeride event held in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. This event features the best freeriders in the world and is held over a 7 day window to allow for the best conditions for each riding discipline. “Triple-S” stands for Surf, Slicks and Sliders, three of the reasons why Cape Hatteras has become one of the premier Kiteboarding locations in the world ! This event will be a great event, come and check out the riders, listen to the DJ, and have fun! Schedule of Events: June 3rd, 7pm : Triple- S Invitational Welcome Party, “Slick Style” Freeride Session June 4th-9th : Triple-S Invitational riding Surf, Slicks, and Sliders. June 9th : Triple-S Invitational Awards Ceremony and Party.
