Communication 3: Hurricane Irma

Good morning from a warm and windy Hatteras Island. With Hurricane Irma tracking further and further west, we are happy to report our anticipation of little to no effects of this storm to the Outer Banks. We look forward to welcoming all incoming Guests without interruption for a wonderful fall week at the beach.

While we are extremely fortunate to have avoided a major storm, our thoughts and prayers go out to the residents, visitors and emergency teams in Florida and the rest of our neighbors in the southeast. We hope everyone stays safe during this dangerous storm and wish you a swift recovery in the coming weeks.

Dare County officials are reminding visitors and residents to continue monitoring the storm and to be prepared for any changes in the storm's track. A beach hazards statement is currently in effect for dangerous surf conditions and strong rip currents, so please be cautious when enjoying the beach.

Our next communication is scheduled for Monday, September 11 at 10 a.m. unless additional information is received earlier.

Please continue to follow these updates for more information as it becomes available. If you haven't yet booked your fall stay, check out our great deals happening now. Come enjoy one of the best seasons of the year at one of the nation's top beaches. The fish are jumping, the wind is steady, and the water is warm. We look forward to seeing you at the beach!
