Tuesday, March 17 - 5:00pm
Greetings from Outer Beaches Realty. As of 2 PM, Tuesday, March 17, Dare County has restricted visitor access to ALL OF DARE COUNTY, following national recommendations to hamper the spread of the Coronavirus. Police checkpoints have been established on State Route 64 west of Manteo and upon entry to Kitty Hawk from State Route 168.
Guests currently in a home may complete their stay. While there is currently not a stated end date for this restriction, Outer Beaches is not accepting any reservations for the remainder of March. Guests due to arrive for an existing reservation in the month of March should check with their Travel Insurance company on potential coverage for this loss. Guests with reservations in April and May should continue to monitor our website and email correspondence for any new updates.
Guests interested in booking new reservations with arrivals after April 1st will follow new guidelines. Outer Beaches is offering a NO CORONA-RISK GUARANTEE for all such reservations made after March 17th with arrivals from April to December. This guarantee will be in effect should you not be able to keep your vacation plans due to any extension of this local government-mandated closure of Dare County due to the Coronavirus. We still highly recommend your consideration of Travel Insurance which further protects you from many other risks which could affect your vacation plans.
Hatteras Island, as you know, is a beautiful place, with plenty of room for ‘social-distancing’ and travelling in your personal car. Once Dare County determines it is safe and the restricted access is lifted, we foresee Hatteras as a low-risk vacation destination where you can continue to practice all the recommended safety guidelines as this current threat begins to recede. See below for more detailed information and resources.
Stay safe, healthy, and happy. Find the silver lining in our new lifestyle and capitalize on all the positives you can find it offers, stay-at-home family time being on top of the list. As things begin to normalize, we can’t wait to see you right back here…
