Greeting from Hatteras Island,
We’re reaching out this week with the latest updates from Outer Beaches Realty.
Last Week, Dare County announced their re-entry plan for Non-Resident Property Owners. This plan was based on scientific research and evidence and was thoroughly discussed among the Dare County Control Board before releasing. To us, it is an indicator that things are looking more optimistic.
Another highlight in the news last week, Dare County extended stay at home orders until May 22nd. We continue to work hard in anticipation of our eventual reopening while following the recommended guidelines for social distancing. We’ve followed the North Carolina Real Estate Commission ruling and we’re making every effort to help our Guests as best as we can. For Guests who have not been able to travel due to Dare County mandated closures, we've been steadily working to move or recover reservation plans immediately. We've been in contact with Guests through early May and we’re currently only moving Guests through the first week of May. With each week that passes, we’ll contact the next week of Guests with options for their stay.
As a reminder, refunds are only given after the departure date has passed. We are processing refunds as quickly as possible, but please understand that it takes many hands to ensure the correct information is completed and reviewed. Due to the volume of refunds we are experiencing, it is estimated to take up to 60 days past the expiration of the reservation for the refund to be fully processed.
Thank you to the many Guests who have been understanding and thank you to those who allowed us to move your reservation week. We’re actively watching the Dare County Reentry page for new updates on when Guests will be allowed to return, and we’ll be excited to announce new updates soon. Until then, we will continue to keep you informed with any new information as it is received.
