With the weekend fast approaching we wanted to provide you with an update on the gas shortage on Hatteras Island. According to Gas Buddy and local communications, most gas stations on the Island have fuel with continued deliveries that should ease demand.
I-64 is typically heavy with traffic and cumbersome to exit for gas.
In addition to many smaller convenience gas stations, Route 460 offers several large fuel stations including Love’s, Pilot, and others with large access to multiple lanes of fueling.
Yesterday, many of them were line free and only about half the pumps were used.
We recommend you top off your tank at one of these stations between I-95 and Wakefield, VA.
Guests currently in homes: Please fill your tanks from available sources prior to check-out day. Minimize driving until your departure. Check-out time remains by 8 AM on your scheduled day of departure. We anticipate all arriving Guests to check-in as scheduled as we’re at 100% occupancy for this weekend.
