COMMUNICATION #14 FOR HURRICANE DORIAN
10 AM, Thursday, September 12, 2019

Hello and thanks for checking in again today with Outer Beaches Realty on Hatteras Island. This is Communication #14, our final bulletin for Hurricane Dorian as of Thursday, September 12th at 10 AM. Currently on Hatteras, it is sunny and 81 degrees with NW winds at 5 mph.

Dare County has announced that South Buxton, Frisco, and Hatteras Villages will reopen to visitors today, Thursday, September 12th at 12 PM. At that time ALL OF HATTERAS ISLAND will be open to visitors…It’s about time.

For Guests heading into town, please prepare to deal with the remnants of the Hurricane, for example damp carpets around doorways, sand and debris in pools and yards, sound overwash, blown out screens, or other unsightly issues that come from major storms. Please understand that during these times, services such as repairs and pool & spa vendors may be delayed. Also, please be tolerant as minor repairs may take place at your home. Our team will work as quickly and effectively as possible to ensure a smooth check-in for you. Should you note any issues, other than those noted above, please let us know so we can respond.

From wide-eyed new-to-the-OBX visitors to familiar faces happy to be home, we’re excited to be able to welcome Visitors to our Island once again. We’re grateful to have such cooperative, enthusiastic Guests as we work hard to return to normal. Hatteras Island beaches are pristine, beautiful, and continue to be ranked in the top 10 beaches in the US. Thank you again for following Outer Beaches Realty through Hurricane Dorian. We can’t wait to see you…

...at the beach!
